											</h4><br /><br /><img src="https://www.ncaer.org/uploads/projects/small/project_image_64.jpg" /><br /><br />The underlying rationale of the study is to identify the determinants of land values in the NCT of Delhi. The study, apart from using standard statistical tools, would undertake several case studies to develop a better understanding of the determinants of spatial and inter-temporal variations of land values.<h4><a href="https://www.ncaer.org/study_details.php?cID=19&pID=53">Study on Impact of Investment in the Housing Sector on GDP and Employment in Indian Economy</a>
											</h4><br /><br /><img src="https://www.ncaer.org/uploads/projects/small/project_image_53.jpg" /><br /><br />The study aims to update and substantiate the findings of the July 2000 report of the same title. The study will assess on a broad basis, the inter-linkages between housing, construction and construction materials and to the extent practicable, the real estate development sectors, drawing inferences on the drivers of growth and key points on inter linkages. The study will also draw up inferences for possible short and long term policy interventions.<h4><a href="https://www.ncaer.org/study_details.php?cID=19&pID=44">Collection of Data on Housing Property Prices in Selected Cities 2012-13</a>

The data are collected, reviewed, and provided to NHB for the construction of the index<h4><a href="https://www.ncaer.org/study_details.php?cID=19&pID=29">Evaluation of Alternative Models of Land Pooling and Development in NCT of Delhi</a>
											</h4><br /><br /><img src="https://www.ncaer.org/uploads/projects/small/project_image_29.jpg" /><br /><br />The study examines the financial viability of alternative models of land pooling for development of urban extensions in Delhi with a view to encourage private participation in provision of land and affordable housing. The study evaluates three alternative models of land pooling and development on the basis of realistic land values, market trends, and land holding costs during the project period, administrative charges, promotional charges, taxes, approval expenses and realistic sale price of the built up area. The alternative models also include any parameters that the government may consider necessary to achieve land development.<h3>Publications</h3><h4><a href="https://www.ncaer.org/publication_details.php?pID=255">Kerala Perspective Plan 2030</a></h4><br /><br /><img src="https://www.ncaer.org/uploads/publication/small/publication_document_image_255.jpg" /><br /><br />The Kerala Perspective Plan 2030 (KPP) prepared by NCAER for the Kerala State Board of Planning is a strategic path forward for Kerala to achieve economic and living standards equivalent to Nordic countries. KPP 2030 targets leapfrogging the high middle income threshold in the next 15 years and the high income threshold in the next 15 years. It seeks to position Kerala among the Nordic countries in terms of human capital and social and environmental indices.  The mission is to achieve sustainable prosperity which includes economic, human well-being, social and green prosperity. To achieve that, Kerala needs to build a sustainable development framework, which involves building a “knowledge economy” and incorporate principles of “sustainable development”.  The approach of KPP 2030 is to build on Kerala’s achievements, discuss the challenges faced by the state in a globalising economy and propose strategies to achieve the goals.  That is the why the KPP is organised in four volumes, which elaborate on four interconnected themes that together constitute its central tenet of balancing economic prosperity, social inclusion and environmental stewardship. Volume 1 begins with the an analysis of the growth of the economy, identifies growth drivers and dynamism of enterprises in different sectors.  Volume 2 discusses the key bases to develop a knowledge economy. Volume 3 is the environmental sustainability volume. Infrastructure which is linked to both growth and environmental sustainability is included in this volume.  The last volume is the social sustainability volume. Health, which is both foundational and a key engine of economic growth is included in this volume.<h4><a href="https://www.ncaer.org/publication_details.php?pID=246">Domestic Product at Current and Constant (2004-05) Prices in India: Issues in Estimation of Communication Sector</a></h4><br /><br /><img src="https://www.ncaer.org/uploads/publication/small/publication_document_image_246.jpg" /><br /><br />This paper examines the estimation procedure of domestic product for communication sector in India at constant prices.<h4><a href="https://www.ncaer.org/publication_details.php?pID=229">Background Paper on Issues related to Land Economics</a></h4><br /><br /><img src="https://www.ncaer.org/uploads/publication/small/publication_document_image_229.jpg" /><br /><br />This paper focuses on the implications of various land use policies being adopted in India with special reference to Delhi and the NCR region. It examines how far the economic reforms coupled with several changes in land use policies have helped spread development to neighbouring areas surrounding Delhi such as the Central National Capital Region (CNCR) and other National Capital Region (NCR) areas. This has been reviewed in light of how successful these policies have been in overcoming the housing shortage and easing the overburdened infrastructure of Delhi.<h4><a href="https://www.ncaer.org/publication_details.php?pID=204">The role of bribes in rural governance: The Case of India</a></h4><br /><br /><img src="https://www.ncaer.org/uploads/publication/small/publication_document_image_204.jpg" /><br /><br />Given that the phenomenon of capture of public programs by sections the population is rampant in developing countries, households can indulge in a strategy to improve their participating in public programs by bribing the suppliers of such programs.<h3>Events</h3><h4><a href="https://www.ncaer.org/event_details.php?EID=232">Release of NCAER-State Investment Potential Index: The 2018 N-SIPI</a></h4>August 3, 2018<br /><br /><img src="https://www.ncaer.org/uploads/events/small/events_image_232.jpg" /><br /><br />NCAER released the State Investment Potential Index (N-SIPI 2018) at a workshop inaugurated by Ramesh Abhishek, Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the conference also hosted a lecture titled ‘India: The Way Forward’ by Dr Raghuram Rajan, Chief Economic Adviser, Government of India.<h3>Researchers</h3><h4><a href="https://www.ncaer.org/expert_details.php?pID=40">Shashanka Bhide</a></h4><img src="https://www.ncaer.org/uploads/people/small/people_profile_40.jpg" /><br /><br /><p><strong>Dr Shashanka Bhide</strong> is a Senior Advisor, Research Programmes, at NCAER. He was associated with NCAER from 1982 to 2014 in different capacities. After leaving NCAER in July 2014, he took up the position of Director, Madras Institute of Development Studies, Chennai until his retirement in December 2018. His research has covered a number of areas in agriculture, macroeconomic modelling, infrastructure and poverty analysis. He has published extensively, including co-authoring and editing books and journal articles in these fields. Shashanka currently also serves as a member of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of RBI and Board of Governors of the Institute for Social and Economic Change in Bangalore.</p><h4><a href="https://www.ncaer.org/expert_details.php?pID=95">Poonam Munjal</a></h4><img src="https://www.ncaer.org/uploads/people/small/people_profile_95.jpg" /><br /><br /><p><strong>Poonam Munjal</strong> is a Senior Fellow at the NCAER. She has worked on a wide variety of studies, including the N-SIPI investment index, tourism satellite accounts, impact of investment in housing sector and a number of research studies based on input-output models. Previously, she worked as an Associate Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt Ltd. and as an Economist in the Economic Research Team of CRISIL Ltd. Her research work has been in the area of macro-economic analysis, tourism economy, national and regional tourism satellite accounts, input-output modelling, social accounting matrix, inter-industry linkages, labour market analysis, and analyses of large sample surveys to draw socio-economic linkages.</p>]]></description>
